How to get benefits of the scheme

Beneficiary Selection :

Individual beneficiaries of demonstration plots, Farm school, inter-district & inter-state trainings within a Panchayat area and all farmer group beneficiaries should be selected by the respective Gram Sabhas or Gram Panchayats in consultation with FIGs and FOs working in the area.

Training :

Farmers training is delivered at Block level and intending farmers of the block can enrolled in the training by contacting Farmer’s friend, Block Technology Manger or Assistant Technology Manager of the Block.

FIG/CIG/WIG

Under the ATMA scheme, Farmer’s Interest Groups (FIGs) of 11-25 farmers are formed. These FIGs are registered through the Project Director of respective district. A registration fees as per norms is charged. Information regarding registration of FIGs can be obtained by contacting Farmer’s friend, Block Technology Manger or Assistant Technology Manager of the Block.

Farmers Friend

There is one Farmer Friend within 2 villages. The Farmer Friend will be identified by BTM on a resolution of Gram Panchayat (GP), which will in turn, consult CIGs /FIGs working in the Panchayat area. Farmer friend is paid Rs 6,000 per year.

PGDAEM Course:

Post Graduation Diploma in Agriculture Extension Management Course is conducted by MANAGE in distance mode through SAMETI, Assam. The duration of the course is 1 year . Candidate may visit SAMETI website or MANAGE website for downloading the application form and have to submit the form at SAMETI through their concern Authority.

DAESI Programme :

Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input Dealers is a diploma course for Input dealers. Candidate may download the application form from SAMETI or MANAGE website and have to submit it at SAMETI through concern district DAO.
